ReplyDeleteI’m glad that you started painting. It’s hard for me to tell much from the pictures (thought I’m glad you posted them.) I’d like to talk with you about what your intention is with the underpainting and also about color. Often, underpainting is in order to have a color show through the overlayers. Sometimes a bright color lays under a duller or darker one. But I can't tell from looking at this online if this is what you're doing.I have two artists to recommend to you to look at. One is Kim Berman, a South African printmaker who is concerned with landscape and displacement and the other is Shona MacDonald who is involved with landscape and displacement as well.
