Semester 2 Week 4

This week I continued to redraw drawings that I am not completely satisfied with. The actually drawing itself proved to be a little slower then it has been in the past because I am really trying to pay attention to the marks made.

I am not sure how I feel about this completed image. I think that the top section working better than the original although it is very similar, but I think I need to change the trees some leaving a little more white space.

This drawing needs to be completed this week.


I also did some research about different marks I could be making. I did this by both looking at other drawings and a few how to draw books. In my critique it was said that the most successful have a variety of marks. I want to make sure I remember this as I am working.

These are some illustration drawings by artist Philip Harris. The pen marks are beautiful and I really connect to the silliness of the content.

In the coming week, I want to continue to redraw but also make some new drawings as well.
