This week I continued to work on drawings.
After I made this drawing there were areas that I did not think were working. I have began another of the same image, fixing areas that are not working and drawing those that are working the same.
I also worked on some close up detailed abstract sections of previous drawings.
Next week I want to continue making new drawings and also redrawing ones where I think there are problematic areas.

That sounds good. I'm glad you're reworking images- I'm exciting to see what happens and where they go. What about the top image is not working?
ReplyDeleteDid you find the critique helpful? Are you thinking at all about what feedback has been specifically useful? I'm going to reiterate that I think the drawings that are most successful in your series are those that have large variation in the marks your making- and the ambiguity of the images. Are you reworking the tree image? What's the deal with those two?
